PMF are fundraising for world-leading medical research at the Derriford Research Facility in Plymouth.

Funds are needed to investigate cancer; infection, immunity and inflammation; and neurodegenerative diseases, including: Brain tumours, dementia, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, antibiotic resistance, oral cancer, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Ebola and bovine tuberculosis.

So many diseases are without a cure, such as brain tumours, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease.

Currently, there are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, and around 127,000 people living with Parkinson’s, with another person diagnosed every hour. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and the under-40 with brain cancer deaths rising; unlike other forms of cancers.
